Paulo Faustino is the founder of Escola Dinheiro [Money School] and of the educational blogs network Escolas+ [Schools+], blogs that together have been read by more than 43 million people worldwide. He is co-founder of the agency Get Digital, co-founder of the event Afiliados Brasil, co-fundador do evento Think Conference, co-founder of Habitus Zen Therapeutic Center, writer, investor and international speaker. Paulo helps companies around the world improve their conversions and online sales. He is recognized as one of the most influential professionals in the Digital Marketing area in the Portuguese language.
Born on April 29, 1985, since early ages Paulo has shown that entrepreneurship runs in his veins, maybe because his father was an entrepreneur throughout his life. The dedication and the sacrifice spirit were shaped during his childhood, due to the rigid upbringing of his mother, the need to make an early life and also the requirement to practice high-level athletics.
At the age of 11 he enrolled in Bairro do Anjos as an athlete. At the age of 12 he changed the club to the city’s rival, Juventude Vidigalense and at age 14 he was national champion of long jump at the Young Olympic event in Maia in the category of initiates (Source). He would repeat the achievement at the age of 16, renewing the title of national champion of long jump, this time at the Young Olympic of Leiria in the Juvenile category. He accumulated several other relevant titles, namely vice national champion of initiates in the javelin throw, among others.
At the age of 16 he started working at the Plasteste factory (now Nova Plasteste), in the industrial zone of Marinha Grande, during the night shift from 00h00 to 08h00.
When he was 18 years old successfully completed high school and joined ISMAG/ISHT — Institutos Superiores da Marinha Grande, to study and become bachelor of Plastics Engineering.
In the same period he decided to end his sports career to try to reconcile his college entrance with his first full-time job at Ribermold.
Between the ages of 18 and 19 he had the opportunity to live several professional experiences, with passage through Ribermold in Marinha Grande, Inforsite in Ponte da Pedra and PCDiga in Leiria.
During that period he realized that his professional life would not go beyond the molds and plastics industry. Therefore, he decided to say goodbye to Ribermold and cancel his ISMAG/ISHT registration to pursue his dreams in new technologies.
At the age of 19 he was invited by one of his PCDiga customers to open a competitor computer store. On March 9, 2005, Extreme-Computers, Lda. was born, located at Cidade de Halton Street. For two and a half years, he was responsible for all the commercial dynamics of the company, from the management and organization of clients, online advertising, support, orders, suppliers, etc.
He was responsible for the creation of e-commerce and digital integrations of Extreme- Computers with partners such as Google and KuantoKusta, discussion forum and management of all the company’s communication channels.
On July 25, 2007, he resigned the management of the company due to incompatibility with his partners.
At the age of 21 he starts working from home and setting up his first solo projects on the internet — first a Blogspot blog and later a discussion forum — which would be the starting point for various business areas that would be dominating the next few years.
On February 6, 2008, he created the blog Fique-Rico.com — which in 2010 had its name changed to EscolaDinheiro.com — also created the Blog EscolaWP.com, the educational blogs network Escolas+ and some other isolated projects that would be sold or closed later.
In 2010 he is approached by the psychologist Dr. Miguel Lucas and then creates EscolaPsicologia.com. In 2011 he is approached by Luciano Larrossa and then EscolaFreelancer.com is born.
Since then he has been mentor of both regarding the development of their business and professional careers, which today are visibly successful.
In 2009 he met Regina Santana. In 2010 they started a relationship that would mark both of them at all levels. Starting as sweethearts, they quickly became partners, developing projects together on the internet. Later, they created several companies in many business areas and established themselves as two influential professionals in the field of digital marketing.
In 2011, for the first time, he was invited to give a lecture at the Ser Freelancer conference in Aveiro. In the same year, got invited to give his first international lecture at the ExpOn event in São Paulo, Brazil.
From that moment on, he started visiting Brazil at least twice a year, having participated as speaker in several events, such as Search Masters 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Afiliados Brasil 2013 in São Paulo and Fortaleza, Afiliados Brasil 2014 in São Paulo and Fortaleza, Afiliados Brasil 2015 in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Afiliados Brasil 2016 in São Paulo, Digitalks Expo International Forum of Digital Marketing 2016 in São Paulo, etc.
It was precisely in 2011 that he had the opportunity to meet Flávio Raimundo, who would invite him to create the event Afiliados Brasil together, today the largest affiliate marketing event in Latin America, with more than 2,000 participants, 55 speakers and more than 50 exhibitors in 1,000 m2 of fair.
During the same period, he had the opportunity to participate as speaker in several other events related to Digital Marketing, WordPress, Entrepreneurship, Startups and Blogs in Portugal.
In 2012, Paulo Faustino continued to make his way in the digital world, developing several projects that would become extremely relevant in the digital environment. One of those projects was www.apptuts.com.br, where content and tutorials on mobile and desktop applications for Mac OSX, iOS, Windows, Android and other platforms are published.
In 2016, the project was sold to Luciano Larrossa, at a time when it used to receive 1 million unique visitors per month from Brazil.
The year 2013 was a special year. On January 12, 2013, Paulo Faustino traveled to Las Vegas to attend the Affiliate Summit, where he would then meet with his partner Flávio Raimundo in an incredible networking and learning experience with North American affiliates and marketers.
On January 30, 2013, along with his partner Regina Santana, they both created the digital marketing agency Get Digital. With many years of experience in the field, it was time to formalize and professionalize the businesses that were already being developed on the internet as individual entrepreneurs.
The activity of the company began with hiring two people, in an office of 35 m2 on one of the streets that is parallel to 22 de Maio Street, in Leiria.
In the first two and a half years of activity, Get Digital worked exclusively on internal projects, building a network of dozens of websites and blogs in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, etc., targeting various industries, Including health, weight loss, fashion, among other topics.
In May 2013, the first edition of the event Afiliados Brasil in São Paulo was held. For an audience of 350 participants, the event was considered a success in the field of digital marketing and affiliate marketing.
In the same year, in November, the first edition of Afiliados Brasil Nordeste in Fortaleza was held for an audience of 250 participants. A first test in the Brazilian Northeastern market that would prove to be extremely difficult to conquer.
It was also possible to include trips to London and Barcelona to attend the London Affiliate Conference and Barcelona Affiliate Conference events.
The year 2014 was marked by the launch of Conversion Hero, a digital marketing course with more than 70 video-lessons where Paulo Faustino teaches practically everything he has learned to date. The course had an incredible repercussion on the platforms of digital products traded in Brazil, reached the first place of sales in Hotmart and enrolled more than 120 students in the first group.
In the same year, Luciano Larrossa’s Facebook for Business and Miguel Lucas’ Positivity Formula courses were released, where Paulo played an important role in the whole strategy of launching and promoting them.
In 2015, Paulo Faustino and Regina Santana decided to invest in two new projects totally outside their area of action. On March 17, 2015, together with a third partner, created the company Teorias Invulgares, Lda., which gave rise to the footwear brand Labuta, totally financed by the two of them.
The official launch of the brand and its autumn/winter collection took place in Castelo de Leiria on October 16, 2015, with the presence of the Olympic athlete Nelson Evora and more than 500 people who went to one of the most emblematic places of the city, a night that turned out to be magical.
During the same period, beginning on March 19, 2015, Paulo Faustino and Regina Santana also started building what would become Habitus Zen Therapeutic Center, located at Comandante Almeida Henriques Street in Leiria. The inauguration of Habitus Zen was held on October 17, 2015, the day after the launch of the footwear brand Labuta.
Soon after the launch of both businesses, several opportunities resulting from the digital marketing appeared, such as invitations to be present in the show “Você na TV” from TVI and “Tempo Corrido” show of Benfica TV.
However, Paulo Faustino and Regina Santana would spend a short period of time in the footwear industry. Due to disagreements with their partner regarding the way they managed the business, they decided to sell their position in the company Teorias Invulgares, Lda., and prematurely dismiss the Labuta brand.
After a rather troubled end of the year 2015, the next one would prove to be prodigal in new projects. In 2016, answering the several amounts of invitations to speak at events in Portugal and Brazil, it was time to continue being an entrepreneur and show that it was possible to do different things.
At the beginning of the year, resulting from the growth of the business, Get Digital agency recruited new employees, increasing its team to 14 people during the year 2016. It was during that period that the company also launched its new website, its new identity and began to work intensely for clients, offering Web Design, Web Development, Mobile Development, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing and Advertising services.
In its list of clients are companies such as Leiria City Hall, WebHS, Vertbaudet Portugal, Vertbaudet España, Corporall, Blocotelha, Clinical Center of Leiria, Hotel D. Gonçalo Fátima, ERA Real State, CHOFER, among others.
On March 31st, 2016, Paulo Faustino and Regina Santana created the company Timeless Trends, Lda., which would later give rise to the watch brand Timeless Watches and in future to a new brand of footwear, to be launched in 2017.
On April 27, 2016, they created the company Madly Radical, Lda., and on November 5 of that year, officially inaugurated the BOLD restaurant, located at Combatentes da Grande Guerra Avenue in Leiria.
On June 17, 2016, Paulo Faustino, Regina Santana and the Get Digital team held the Think Conference in Leiria, bringing together more than 600 participants in 3 days and a panel of speakers of the highest level, attended by professionals from the Google, Paypal, Farfetch, La Redoute, Chic by Choice, FixeAds, UBER, Uniplaces, among other companies.
The event is considered one of the largest and most relevant Digital Marketing events held in Portugal to date, receiving widespread praise from the Secretary of State for Industry, João Vasconcelos, and the general press.
Also in 2016, he was invited to be part of a group of professors of the Postgraduate course on Online Business Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, where he lectured on Facebook Ads, SEO, Content Marketing, Traffic Purchase and Affiliate Programs.
In the beginning of 2017, he was invited by D. Dinis Business School to teach a face-to- face courses about SEO (Search Engine Marketing) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing), which took place during May.
Being an extremely positive person in relation to life and business, Paulo Faustino has always believed that the best is yet to come. Passionate about education and knowledge sharing, he has several projects planned for the coming years, including the launch of an international footwear brand, the development of new internal projects at Get Digital, the creation of a series of face-to-face courses in Brazil, a cycle of face-to-face trainings in Portugal, the launch of a new book that has already started, among other projects that he intends to embrace.
Above entrepreneurship and digital marketing, he believes that people are the most important part of everything else and wants to continue to actively learn from each one of those he comes across over the course of his life.
